Real Housewife Kim Drops First “Party” Single

Where to begin?  If you’ve been following the saga of Kim (the white one) and her “singing career” on Real Housewives Of Atlanta’s two seasons, then you already know that she makes Cassie sound like Celine.  Her voice is a pitch-less, Newport Light-enhanced, scratchy, twangy muddle of noise masquerading as notes. Originally she was comin’ for Carrie Underwood on some country music ish, but I guess she’s aiming for the rainbow coalition now with the release of her first, and some say final, single, the pop/electro stomper “Tardy For The Party”.

I vaguely recall NeNe mocking the song a few episodes ago, but I had no idea that this was indeed Kim’s foray into the world of music.  Actually, if you didn’t know it was K. Slice, its a half-decent, catchy, mindless little ditty with an appropriate autotuned anonymous female robo-vocal fulfilling its track duties of providing something to sing along to.  Knowing that Kim’s tacky a$$ is the uh, “singer” just makes this otherwise harmless pop fluff deliciously trashy and a true guilty pleasure.

Listen to it on a good pair of headphones and you’ll be converted too.  Don’t worry Kim, I won’t be tardy for the party if you promise to rock that acrylic wig!
